HLS Player Simulator FREE is an Android application that provides a simple and easy-to-use solution for analyzing HLS streams and gaining ad hoc insight into stream quality. Developed by TSLemurs, this app simulates a HLS player and provides insight into ABR switching and current CDN capability to deliver media playlists and segments in time for consistent playback and good quality picture and sound.
The app features adaptive bitrate playback simulation, master and media playlist analysis, both live and VoD, bandwidth and target duration parameters analysis, segment size, duration and download time analysis, CC error check of non-encrypted TS (Transport Stream) segments, preview playback of non-encrypted TS (Transport Stream) segments, and keep device awake option to perform longer analysis.
